Could anyone please help me. I want to study thai at home,could you pkease tell me what is the best course. 1 thaipod101; thai pidcast; learn thai from a white guy. I am 63 and want to understand, speak and eventualky wrire and read. Thanking you in anticipation.

In my opinion, none of the above.

In your circumstances I'd suggest you start with the Pimsleur course.

However, in reality, if you don't have a native Thai speaker to correct your pronunciation you're not going to make very much progress.

If at all possible, find a Thai class in your area.

Benjawan Poomsan Becker Thai for Beginners

Really easy, just skip the parts where you write back in phonetic thai. You don't need to learn his made up language, just thai letters.

took me 2 weeks to learn the alphabet with his book and with his second book im finaly learning vocabulary

I guess you weren't paying that much attention. It's "her", not "his". She's not a dude.
