PM Hun Sen – Cambodia’s Growth Projected 7%, Inflation 3.5%

PHNOM PENH – Cambodia’s Prime Minister Hun Sen said on Sunday that the country’s growth is projected 7 percent in 2015, while the inflation rate continues to be low at around 3.5 per cent. He added the projection comes “despite Cambodia has had to face with uncertainties and a number of major risks both internally and externally, such as natural calamity, political instability, as well as turmoil.”


“Uncertainty in the labor market in the post-election periods, and further more continued uncertainly in the world economy, still Cambodia could score economic growths” of 7.3 per cent in 2013 and 7 percent in 2014, the Premier told several thousands of CPP supporters at the meeting commemorate the 64th anniversary of the CPP.


At the meeting also attended by some foreign diplomats, PM Hun Sen said that Cambodia’s GDP per capita has been expected to continue to rise to $1,123 last year from $1,042 in 2013.
