Examination of human trafficking witnesses to take 5 years: Thai police

yeah this will give them a chance to remove any important witnesses out of the country into prison, hide evidence as positions are shuffled and the perpetrators hide somewhere. They could always get a head start and look at the open source reports on human trafficing, start there, make arrests etc. etc.

you have to note in these situations that often those criminals end up in places of authority, just look at Chea Sim for example. He was involved with Pol Pot in the killing fields, not just post khmer rouge but also during it, they ignored that and he dies in peace age 82. This is they way of this part of the world, god knows they barely get the Japanese to apologise for attrocaties

Thailand is the land of the perfection in justice! So please dont push the court for wrongdoing while investigating soooo very slowly - and there is always a reason behind beeing slow: all the once who might be guilty and responsible had time to run away!

Thailand is sorely lacking and apathetic.

I have had highly qualified friends who said they would volunteer their time and skills to NGO's

in the areas of Human Trafficking.

They were rebuffed for their efforts.

Even after I told them so.

The USA is also a big market in Human Trafficking it is a world wide problem.

Now you have brought up and interesting point. What makes them qualified and if they are qualified they will have had experience. Ask them how long it takes to properly interrogate a witness in a serious case such as this. I would be interested in hearing that answer from a professional.

On a more practical basis how many qualified interrogators does Thailand have? This is not the only place they are being used.

A ) Central African Republic

B ) Djibouti

surely no sensible ex military or current military invovled in these human rights issues would want the next rabble - red shirts to be in charge when this is all brought out in the open again in 5 years.

however the others are so incompetant ( equally incompetant) they will waste time trying to get thaksin back in the coutnry instead of attacking the proper targets.
