honestly your starting point seeing as your from the UK = North sea, (sure you know this already) or Aussie

If your looking local Thailand,SEA, you will find there are slim pickings one suspects

From the rope access guys I have come across in SEA, most are from Singapore/Malaysia/Thailand all are IRATA ticketed an the only "expat" postion is for the IRATA 3

rigger wise, you will have a very very slim chance, unless your say a rigging/heavy lift Supervisor/superintendent level or a deck foreman

The only thing I can suggest is send your CV to the local body shops who recruit expat's in SEA for the oil patch, but given the current state of the oil price dont hold your breath..

Won't get much out here for sure.

A good friend level 3 after 8 years of continuous working in SEA is now once again in the UK sector.

Usual companies such as DSL,TRAC,CAN,CLS would be a good starting point if you want to work in the UK.

Aussie wise can not comment.

Lots going on in the Middle East still but it's the old adage not what you know but who.

Good luck it's pretty slow at the moment, even the UK shutdown period is rather minuscule this year.

IRM have new builds (derricks) in Sharjah. K2 busy as always in Singapore, CoreIRM in Singapore bits and pieces, SSI(NOV) new builds Korea & China, Cape Azerbaijan fabric maintenance and inspection.

Don't expect superstar wages in SE Asia. Huge pool of local and expat RAT's out here.
