Although he was wearing a safety helmet, it was not correctly fastened and came off before Khun Rith hit the tarmac.

As brainless as those people who wear face masks ... on their chins!

motorcyclists who ride around without fastening the straps on their helmets seem not to understand it is forprotection against head injury. But it’s clear there isn’t much to protect brain wise if those cyclists think it’s more important to look like they are wearing a helmet just to satisfy the police rather than for their own health and well-being.blink.png

That's the problem with helmets. They are hot, heavy, inconvenient, expensive and can make your chin sore if the strap does not fit right.

Just there is a reason for the legal requirement. In the UK the offence of not wearing a helmet also includes if it's not securely fastened.

Least he managed to get it on his head.

Close but no cigar.

If your helmet is not properly strapped up then your not really letting the helmet do its job. I can see a lot of sense in the UK law.
