More Schools Busted

Featured Replies

The immigration lot are at it again. Harrow got turned over this morning. Its said over 30 Farrangs arrested. Our school is on alert, as we are expecting a visit any time. If you are working on a tourist BE CAREFUL!! :o

Harrow had 30 teachers without wps? And they were arrested?

What's your source?

Yep. Thai teachers are lining up to replace NATIVE ENGLISH SPEAKING teachers who travelled across the world to work at wages that would be considered sub-poverty level in their home countries. What will these farang criminals do next?

Our HOD told us. From what he said, Harrow was amongst those busted. It must be a big thing because its all hit the fan here and a few are running around sweating bullets. Dont know the full details. Wanted to warn people its happening.

Any 1 know if Siam computer was raided?read that it was on teflwatch.org but its not solid evidence!!!

None of this is solid yet. Just what is coming in on the grape vine. We will have to wait and see!

Just now, I checked over on teflwatch, and over at the ajarnforum, and I don't see specific confirmation of schools getting raided.

Heh heh... getting back to the topic- if Harrow was really raided, and some teachers there were really found legally lacking, that's pretty big news. Maybe everywhere will be short of teachers soon. That's good for us (legal teachers teachers) but bad for students, bad for schools, and possibly bad for Thailand in the short run. In the long run, better, perhaps.

I'd suspect that was crapola. I know for a fact, even for part time teachers, they organise WP's.

30 teachers? I doubt it. They do have a small list of subs who do work without WP's, but it wouldn't be 30.

If no one can confirm this report by tomorrow PM, I'm closing the thread. Aspect, I'd recommend you post some evidence of this ASAP.

Harrow was not raided. 30 teachers were not arrested.

and, while I'll leave it to the forum mod....I suspect 'aspect' will be banned from TV.....
