Siam First RTC Express Shipping.

Featured Replies

Well, here goes a thumbs up as an alternative to EMS Etc. Anyone tried this company, Siam First RTC Express?

I had some tyres shipped up from Bangkok yesterday, paid the invoice at 2 PM, the shipment went out at about 5PM and the tyres were in Chiang Mai 9 o'clock this morning.

120 Baht shipping fees.

Strange place at Chiang Mai, just off the "Super" (Crap) Highway.

Room enough to park, staff are friendly, weird sort of system, you go in and get a ticket from a machine, one is to despatch, the other is to pick up, (No English signs on machines etc. but the staff are good and some can speak English reasonably - My bad I cannot speak enough Thai) I phoned at 8.30 and asked about the shipment, they confirmed it was there and when I arrived, I was the only Westerner, and the girl on the desk even remembered my name!

So you get your ticket, wait maybe 20 seconds, get called to a counter, hand in the ticket, 2 minutes later they bring out your shipment, way better than Nim See Seng.

Be interested if anyone has sent anything by them, but they seem pretty efficient and very cheap, we had 4 tyres sent for 120 Baht! Less than 16 hours.

And just to take note, I did almost 100Km on the highways without encountering a retard, which has to be a first.

On the way back I stopped at Bquik to get my "free" Lifetime 10K Km wheel rotation as per their promise, but they charge 450 Baht to do the tracking! Spiv bastards! Free my ass! Thankfully we went shopping at Big C for an hour so they never had the opportunity to try to tell me that all my steering joints were broken or my brake pads were worn, then try to sell me second rate crap!
