Deputy Interior Minister to call a meeting with relevant units in preparation for dealing with possible flood

The Deputy Minister of Interior, Mr. Sermsak Pongpanit (เสริมศักดิ์ พงษ์พานิช), will call a meeting with relevant units to find ways to deal with possible flood on September 21st.

Mr. Sermsak will chair the meeting with the Royal Irrigation Department officials and the provincial governors on September 21st at 10:00 hours in Ayutthaya (อยุธยา) Province. He said that the meeting will be held so relevant agencies would be prepared to handle the flood situation.

Continuous rainfall and the increase of water level in Chao Phraya (อยุธยา) River can cause flood to take place.

Mr. Sermsak said the reason the meeting will be held in Ayutthaya is because the officials would be able to witness the actual flood situation in the province.
