lovelomsak
After 2 weeks in hospital I became aware of somethings. If a canadian dies in Thailand, how does the family back in Canada receive the death certificate? It is necessary for the will and to stop pensions etc. Is the person here responsible to have something in place to notify everyone back home or does the embassy or someone do it. meatboy
if you have a partner here they have to inform the embassy and the pension must be stopped.if you dont have a partner surely you must have made a will here so appoint someone to act on your behalf [the lawyer]
JohnC
If you die at home the police will be called, they will inform the embassy, if you die in hospital they will inform the embassy. In the back of your passport there is a page for details of who to contact in an emergency.
