Sept 6 went to border crossing and got my next 30 entry stamp. The square stamp is in purple but the exit date is in red. Oct. 4.

Am I doomed?

:D

1. Have you been there longer than 90 days. My understanding is the new visa regulations take effect on 1 October. It would be a smart thing to do to find out what your official status will be after that time.

2. In my limited experience, you are usually given an interview with an immigration official if they are questioning why you keep renewing your visa. Usually in that interrview they "hint" that it might be best for you not to attempt another visa run. That was my experience several years ago. Typically Thai suggestion, for they never once tried to tell me what to do or criticize my choice, but simply said it "might be better" if I did not attempt another border run for a visa. I took the hint, and made other arrangements.

3. The bright bold red stamp me just be a not-so-subtle hint to you. A word to the wise as they say.

The exit stamp & date from my neighber is till now purple. Border crossing Sep 8. (Bon Nam Ron). Maybe the officer took the wrong color.

Some bordercrossing use black , other use red , assume that you went to Ban Laem , where the Officials are very correct and put the stamp correctly and visible in your passport.

Counting start from 1.10.06 onwards.
