I worked 15 years in senior management for a specialist Thai Company and felt more comfortable than the previous 30 years working for a similar specialist company in the UK. The rewards were greater as well. Maybe I was the lucky one and now retired in Thailand but still keep in regular touch with my previous employer. I'm glad to hear that it works out for some people. SheungWan Posted July 30, 2015 Share Posted July 30, 2015 For a presentation, there are a few things one can ask a company if they will provide on the day: OHP for your slides (no you can't ask for a bunch of OHT's), projector screen, internet access if using your laptop and so on. Sometimes at presentations, interviewees would provide printouts of their slides and presentation notes. Nobody ever asked to use a printer. that is something you sort out prior to presentation day. Things that went wrong: all the OHP's broken, OHP bulb blew, no working power points in the presentation room, internet access slowing down to a crawl. What to do now? Always take OHT's as backup, but nowadays it is possible to carry a portable projector to work with one's laptop assuming that nothing is working at the place on is going to. If equipment provided is all singing, all dancing then you don't need to carry anything, but sod's law will hit one some day. The OP blew himself up over something trivial.
