I spoke about Western type of thinking. In a Buddhist country people are taught to see things as they are - the most important Buddhist meditation is called "seeing as it is"

yes, Thailand as any other free market economy is trying to attract investors. Real investors with millions or billions of dollars, new ideas and technology.

government should make efforts to make the economy more free, to make it easier for paupers, who want to change their life, to do that.
