OTOP in Na Muen Si

At Tambon Na Muen Si in Nayong District of Trang Province, a famous OTOP product is well-known among the many people, and it is produced by a group of weavers under the name Na Muen Si Weavers Group. Currently, the group comprises 84 members, and they are working methodically for the business sector of the community, while promoting all members to contribute their ideas on the production process.

The members focuses on the intellectual development so the local community would be developed and be more capable. Furthermore, the traditional intellect of the Na Muen Si villagers would also be revived.

Mrs. Kusol Nila-or, the Chairperson of Na Muen Si Weavers Group, stated that Na Muen Si silk has greatly advanced. New and unique silk designs have been developed, and some of them have won top prizes, both in regional and national levels. Today, the group has originated over 100 designs, to compliment the trends and colors as well as to meet the consumer demands.
