Keeping your post safe when you are out of Thailand

Hi

I have been living with my wife in her Thai home for seven years. My postal address is her home. We are planning to visit UK for six months a year after she retires. Does anyone have any suggestions on how we can secure any post that arrives while we are away?

Get a PO Box from your local office, have ALL mail addressed to the PO Box, it will be held until you collect it. Any larger items will be held in back office and a card placed in the box telling you.

Cost 500 baht for a year. (provinces may vary)

When you say get all mail addressed to the PO Box, does that mean asking the Post Office to redirect everything or would I have to write to everyone advising them of a change of address (and again when we return)?

Talk to your Post Office, services will vary from place to place as with most things in Thailand.
