I had to lookup what a steak weight is used for... it speeds up the *cooking* of a steak... :cry:

They really do work well. I would look for on at TrueValue Hardware.....They carry a lot of odds and ends, however you will pay for the nose for it......I use an small cast iron pan, also very expensive here. But works just as well.

I've used a garden brick for hot pressed sandwiches.

Wash it (of course), and wrap it in tin foil. I saw it on an Emeril Lagasse cooking show once.
