PHUKET: -- The government quarter of Phuket Town will be without electricity supply this Saturday (August 29) as workers repair power lines.

The Phuket Provincial Electricity Authority (PPEA) in its notice issued today reported that areas affected will include Chai Field, which is directly opposite Phuket Provincial Hall, across to Phuket Community Hall further east off Narisorn Rd.

The repairs are being carried to restore full functionality to a power pole struck by a vehicle in July, the notice reported.

The affected areas will be without power supply from 9am through to 4pm.

Nice picture of .... phone lines.

Power cuts and water switch offs. We get used to these things in Isaan, but in one of Thailands main tourist resorts? You'll have to try harder.
