mojorison
The RTP reported within one hour of the blast that it was TNT. Obviously they back pedaled from this fairly self-incriminating statement. How could anyone be so sure in such a short amount of time...
NCC1701A
if you look closely at the now famous photo of the police giving the interview in front of the gogo bar, you will see one of the cops does not have any eyebrows and eyelashes left. he was the one using a match to conduct the "tests" on the black powder residue. gigman
No wander they have nothing which could explained the motivation of bombing if they still are guessing type of explosive. ..... But they are good in covering quickly the bomb effect.
plachon
"Prawuth says investigators are trying to find other pieces of the bomb to analyze." Perhaps if you had watched a few more episodes of CSI, you would see that they set up a crime scene and comb the entire area from top to bottom...that you may have found a few fragments of the bomb materials. Instead you called the Fire Department to hose all the evidence away because you were scared of losses from tourism. Clownshoes. In UK there was a plane crash at an airshow near Shoreham on Saturday 22nd Aug. The jet crashed on to a road, killing at least 11 people, mostly in their cars. It was a tragic accident, but the police and accident investigators are treating it as if it was a crime scene, doing a fingertip search of the entire area, so not a single scrap of evidence may be lost. The main A27 road is still closed as they trawl the area in minute detail. Compare this approach to the Erawan bomb and one can soon see why the police are saying "it looks like it might be TNT, but then again, it might not be".....the investigation is a political farce, as will be any conclusion as to who was behind it......if there ever is a conclusion. Pressure to find a scapegoat or two to pin the blame on will mount in the meantime, so don't be surprised if some poor dude who loosely fits the bomber's description is framed for the crime in the next few days, in keeping with the Koh Tao process. Fat Haggis
Why not use those bomb detectors, they paid so much money for, i thought they were supposed to detect all kinds of explosives , put a different chip in and they could detect anything, except corruption. regards worgeordie Apparently they have changed the chips in some of them to detect bullshit, they're using them as fans in the senior police man's office !!!! gk10002000
It looks like? Goodness. Let's get some proper residue testing done please. From what I saw there was an awful lot of cleaning going on and a lot of trace evidence could be compromised. Anybody been there recently and have any photos? chrisinth
The RTP reported within one hour of the blast that it was TNT. Obviously they back pedaled from this fairly self-incriminating statement. How could anyone be so sure in such a short amount of time... They also reported that the bob in the canal only partially exploded. If that is the case, and this device is the same as the one used at the shrine (as reported), then how many more samples do they need or how much more time do they need to make an analysis? I am all for the authorities keeping information from the public if it helps their investigation. Just don't mislead the public with inane statements. spidermike007
We have really, really great experts on our staff. They have examined the substance, and residue remaining after the explosion, and after 11 days have determined it was TNT. You people have no idea how much skill was required, and it is testament to just how good our men are. See, we did not need help from the first world nations who offered to send their best people. Our guys are the best!
