bangkoklasse
My friend asked me which one that he should apply first for? I told him first the visa and then the WP. So I just like to check it here.
nowretired
Does you friend have an employer? Iff so the employer should be taking care of these issues. Your friend will need substantial paperwork from the employer and a receipt which indicates the employer has applied for the work permit before a visa will be issued within the region. The pre applied for work permit will be issued once the visa has been obtained.

nowretired
Lets hope he has four Thai employees because unless that can be proved he will not get a work permit ! Why is the "expensive" lawyer not assisting with the visa/work permit ?

Maestro
The chronogical sequence is like this: 1. Apply for work permit. 2. Get non-B visa. 3. Pick up work permit when it is ready.
