I am new here. I would like to ask if I will apply for a non-imm "O" outside Thailand like Penang, what are the requirements? What other supporting documents needed in a marriage certificate? Do I have to authenticate here in Thailand before I will apply for a dependent visa there in Penang. My marriage certficate has already a red ribbon (certification) from the dept. of foreign affairs in the philippines and a certification from the malacanang office (president's office). So do I need to go to the Philippine embassy here in Thailand to authenticate it again in applying a non immigrant "O" at Penang or not needed anymore. Please answer me.

You will need a certified translation into Thai.

There are many Translation services around the bottom of Sukhumvit to do this.

If you are in the Philippines, ask the Thai Embassy, they may be able to steer you somewhere.

First you need to take your certifate to your embassy for a certifate of authenticity, then one of the many translation shops in Bangkok, lots on Wireless Road area costs around 1800 Baht, they'll translate and get it stamped from the MoFA,

* Your passport and photo copy

* birth certificate

* two photos

* copy of wifes passport and ID card (back and front)

* wifes house papers ( tabian ban )

* bank statement and bank letter for 400,000 Baht in bank if multi entry in Penang ,don't think you need in KL.

* 550RM multi, 250RM single 90 day from a visa agent in Penang :o
