BANGKOK: -- A night fire broke out at PVJ Plastic recycling factory in Chachoengsao province burning down three factory buildings where large quantity of plastic pellets, and plastic materials.

According to Ban Pho police, the fire happened at 2 am and by 7 am Monday it was still raging.

Three factory buildings which were used to store plastic pellets and other materials collapsed to the ground after they were engulfed by the blazes for several hours.

More than 20 fire trucks reported difficulties in accessing to the factory grounds as there was only one access and there was also a pond which obstructed the fire trucks to get closer in to put out the fire.

Morever, at the time of the fire there were no workers inside and all gates were locked.

By 7 am, the fire was still raging as the factory had stoired a huge quantity of plastic for recycling.

The factory is owned by Mrs Sangtawan Choochaem. She was not in the factory but was reported to take all workers on a tour.
