BANGKOK: -- Army commander-in-chief Gen Udomdej Sitabutr said Monday morning that a Ratchaprasong bomb suspect has revealed three other accomplices in the bomb explosions.

The man, whose actual national is still not confirmed although he carried Turkish passport, has revealed three other names during the interrogation by the military personnel.

But it remained unknown who was the mastermind, he said as more questioning is needed.

However the names were withheld as they were not yet verified if they were real names as their passports are fake.

But the army chief said the army interrogators questioned the suspect in a gentle and cautious way and he agreed to name his accomplices.

He said it was not yet clear if the bombings would have link with the deportation of over 100 Uighurs back to China.

Good on the army, they can talk a woman out of her knickers when the task is presented to them.

Naybe the threathened to turn the female investigators loose if he did not become more cooperative. Guess they will not be considered for reward money like others drawing taxpayer paid salaries

Three more suspects wanted in deadly bomb explosion

BANGKOK: -- Three more bomb suspects, one of them a Thai, are wanted by the police for their involvement in the deadly bomb explosion at Ratchaprasong on August 17, Royal Thai Police commissioner Pol Lt Gen Prawut Thavornsiri disclosed Monday morning.

He said the police investigation team has sought court’s warrant for the arrest of three more suspects, one of them a Thai national, after investigation linked them to the bomb explosions at Ratchaprasong and Sathorn pier.

But he said it depended on the court if it would approve all three suspects as the police wanted.

Earlier he said examination of the mobile phone seized from the bomb suspect arrested at Nong Chok showed he was at the Sathorn area but still could not yet established his role while was in the area.

However DNA examination needed to be conducted if his DNA would match with DNA samples the forensic police earlier collected from the backpack contained with explosive which exploded at Ratchaprasong on August 17.

But this finding indicated the bombings in both cases were conducted by the same group of people.

Earlier yesterday a combined force of police and soldiers also searched another apartment in adjacent Minburi district after investigation revealed some suspects rented rooms at Nong Chok apartment also left some belongings at a tented room at the three-storey Maimuna Garden Home in Minburi.

A search of Room 9106 found traces of urea fertiliser, grey powder, four wristwatches, radio controlled toy vehicle, black and blue electric wiring, a table clock, a pack of bolts, and decorative tree lights. All these could be used to make improvised explosive devices.

Owner of the apartment told police the room had been rented by a Thai woman known only as “Mai Sa Loh”.

Police have examined nine of the 30 rooms yesterday and an electric welder was found at Room 9102. It was seized for examination.

Hang on!!

Didn't one of the top cops just say a few days ago that no Thai could possibly carry out such a dastardly and heinous crime?

Calling this lot The Keystone Cops is an insult to the memory of Mack Sennett!!

Mystery man in Bangkok bomb probe 'never said a word'
"The suspect never said a word," the officer added.

Strange isn't it?

And yesterday the suspect denied any involvement in the bombings...and now the PM gets around in an armoured car. Go figure....

I bet a search of any serving police officers homes would also result in such items. Hardly conclusive evidence of bomb making.

Maybe the people involved in the CIA rendition program have been employed to use some their expertise in being especially nice to prisoners.

If you choose and pick what you quote, sure it's strange. You forgot to include or left out the following preceding line in your quote 'When security forces burst into the building to make the arrest, the man declined to speak, even through a Turkish translator, according to a plain-clothes special branch officer who joined the raid'

I would have had the answers on day one Only need blow torch metal bucket with trap door and a rat. Tie suspect down on table place bucket on stomach with trap door up show him rat. Open trap door Never had to go past that.

You know I would be careful boasting about your exploits as a torturer. Especially in this part of the world. It's not beyond the bounds of possibilities that someone, or a relative of someone that you and your mates tortured all those years ago might come looking for you.

That's before we consider the utter repugnance of boasting about having been a torturer.

You mean you don't think it was a surplus diet of T.V.'s Fast & Furious?
