Extending first year of OA visa

Recommended Posts

My OA visa is coming up to one year from my approval date. I plan to leave the kingdom next week and return which I believe extends/ renews my OA visa a further year.

Do I need to do anything before I leave (re entry permit) or anything when I get back or advise the official at customs I wish to renew the OA or does it happen automatically?

I believe my 90 day reporting cycle starts again from the day I return?

All you need to do is exit and re-enter before the 'enter before' date that's printed on the visa.

When you re-enter you'll automatically be given another 12 month stay.

Yes the 90 days resets from the date you re-enter.

Thanks for your help. So 90 days after I return and report I don't need to send my last report receipt? Everything starts anew same as when I first arrived?

Your next report date will be the day you enter + 90 days inclusive. So you need to report 15 days before and up to 7 days after this date. You don't need to give them the old receipt. Yes, everything starts as if you first arrived.

Don't forget to check that they give you the correct permission to stay date.

For info, 90 day reporting is the day you enter plus 89 days.

I believe it's the day you enter plus 90 days. That means you will report 89 days after entering.

Day of entry is Day 1 + 89 = 90!
