How do I go about my 90 day reporting after moving house from Chonburi to Udonthani. My retirement visa was issued by Chonburi immigration office and my 90 day report is due on Sept 19th.

You go into UdonThani immigration and file a tM28 with your new address and proof. Then you hope that they will allow you to do the 90 day report at UdonThani and not make you go back to Chonburi. I would wait until Friday to do it that way you could do both at the same time. 90 day reports can be done 15 days early.

You are supposed to inform the new immigration office of your change of address within 24 hours of moving. If you haven't done that wait until you do the report and date your change of address as the date you are reporting.

You can report up to 15 days before the due date of the 19th. When you report you will need to complete a TM28 (Change of address form) and the usual TM47 (90 day report form). You should also give them a TM30 if you're staying in a private residence, which is the form required to be completed by the house-master of the address you're staying at.

You need to formally change you address to Udon Thai by submitting a TM28 form with proof of your new residence.prior to doing your 90 day report.

When I moved house, these are the documents Immigration wanted to change address.

1. Completed Form TM 28.

2. Passport + Copy of Homepage showing given names / Passport number / Hologram etc, plus

- Current Visa or

- Last Extension stamp and

- Last Entry Stamp

3. Completed Form TM30.

4. Copy of House owners Tabian Ban

5. Copy of House owners ID card.

6. Original Rental Agreement + Copy (If rented)

7. Map detailing Address + Copy

8. Original TM 6 Departure Card + Copy

I suspect Udon will require similar.

Date the TM28 and TM30 as of the day before you go to Immigration, to give the impression your reporting the move within 24 hours. They won't know any difference.

And what address would he put on the return envelope?

Udon! That's not the address registered with Chonburi Immigration.

Chonburi! He's moved to Udon so collecting his next report slip could be a problem.

I have moved from there to Korat, and i put my Korat address on the envelope, and i put 40 baht in for them to send back via EMS, otherwise they send by normal post, and it has gone awol before...works for me.

I am now registered living in Korat, but they wont do my 90 day report at Korat Immo.

By the way, Faz. They would do it in Korat for a little more than tea money, but its cheaper to send it to Jomtien, i think its 37 baht, plus 40 baht to get it back....and it saves on diesel and time travelling there...

You are supposed first of all to inform immigration. Of your new address within twenty four hours of moving, if you have not done this tell them you moved yesterday.

I moved to korat from living in hua hin for five years, informed them of my move and proof of address within twenty four hours, a month later did my ninety days and annual income verification all at the same time, no problem.

Then Korat are misinterpreting the orders given last year that 90 day reports must be completed at the office who issued the extension.

That is the case, unless you follow the correct procedure to change address.

If you follow the procedure (TM28 and TM30), then you should be able to report to the Imm office where you lodged your new details.

Had the same problem at Amnat though, but after a lengthy debate they changed their stance.

I 've done the TM28 thing, Been there, done that....but Dan Kwian immo is a different animal to most immos, they don't care, i have tried, i tell them i am registered in Korat, but they just look at my extension from Jomtien, and say "go Chonburi".

I have given up, it doesnt really bother me to be honest, i'm not worried about it at all, i just mail it in now, no probs. i have friends in Jomtien immo, so I won't mind having a mini-break in Pattaya to renew there if i have to, only because its hastle free, and can meet old mates for a game of golf, and a night or 2 on the piss, and stock up on things not readily available in Korat. Its no problem to me.

I can understand your frustration Nigel.

My mate moved from Mukdahan to Amnat. Went to Amnat with all the relevant forms and they changed his address on the database.

They then rejected his next 90 day mail in report.

We met in person at Amnat. They seemed completely perplexed that he had an 'extension' from Mukdahan, but an address in Amnat.

'Have to change address'.

'Must go to Mukdahan'.

After explaining that he had followed the procedure to change his address, we finally convinced them to pull his paper documents file.

They found the TM28 and TM30 he had earlier supplied and suddenly it all made sense to them.

However he had exactly the same problem next 90 day report and had to go through the same rigmarole.

He completed his new extension at Amnat in July, and they laughed about it, saying everything should be straightforward now.
