The key reason is that it helps members deal with the complexities of the ever shifting sands of Thai bureaucracy and culture. Shared experience and honest third party opinion ( where GFs are involved) helps expats who are often quite isolated even if they live in BKK or Pattaya.

Many of the posts are helpful, some very amusing and some would have been better a couple of beers earlier - but it's become a part of living here.

The other good thing about TV is that sometimes it gets the mental processes going- now what drug do you think this person is on, or are they on a journey of self awareness -' finding themselves' in gap yah parlance.

I just hope the new management do not load up on advertising all over the place like some examples I have seen. It sure would go a long way to spoil a good thing in a short period of time. I find that screwing with a successful idea is usually its downfall. The success that TV has achieved has taken a long time. Please do not destroy it over greed.

Sometimes when someone tries to get the last word in by telling me that *I* always have to get the last word in, I just respond by saying "Tag -- you're It" but the most recent time the topic was indeed closed a few pages later before I was able to respond. That's because I chose to turn off the computer and go to sleep before the 'last word' scenario started.

BTW after admonishing me that I always had to get the last word in as usual, that same poster made 7 subsequent posts on that same topic before the topic was closed roughly 2 hours later.
