Prayut orders speed-up efforts to alleviate Pattaya flooding

BANGKOK: -- Government Spokesman Col Sansern Kaewkamnerd said Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha has been closely monitoring the flooding in Chon buri and Pattaya.

Sansern said the prime minister instructed all government agencies concerned to alleviate the flooding and help the victims urgently

The spokesman said the Chon Buri governor, the Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Department, the Highway Department, the 14th Army Circle were speeding up efforts to alleviate the flooding.

First he urges measures to bring rain, then when his orders are answered, albeit with too much rain, now he urges that the floods are mitigated.

It's a hard job being an autocrat.

Did not think he even knew where Pattaya was... now while he is sorting out Pattaya's flooding problems how about sorting out the other big issues too... that seem to be too much for City Hall and the BiB to sort...

Cannot wait for the underpass on Pattaya Central Road to open ......... imagine those sub-marine stations at both ends getting quite busy if such (to be expected) torrential rains will continue in the years to come as Pattaya's finest still have no say on the weather - oh well .............

If they really want to help they can get to work cleaning out all the clogged up storm drains--starting with the ones with shrubs growing out of them and then moving on to the ones covered over with grass.
