Requirement
Hi, I just got my new PP and was wondering if I can just leave the country through the Nong Khai border or if I have to transfer the old extension of stay into the new PP here in Bkk at immigration? I am on a 60 extension on a non - O visa. Regards
ubonjoe
When your 60 day extension ends you can just leave the country and show both passports to the officer. He will move your permit to stay stamp the new passport and stamp you out of the country in it. If you have a multiple entry visa in your old passpory you will need to use both passports on entry until the visa expires.

Requirement
Update: Went to the bridge at Nong Khai today but was told to first go to the immigration office about 1 km down the road in order to move the stamp. For this to happen a letter from ones embassy is required which I did not have. I asked if the cash receipt was also ok and it was. I still had this receipt in my bag. It was accepted even though in non english foreign language. Fee: 20 THB
