Did you experience last-minute price hikes on booking.com?

This is what i experienced on Agoda. They tout their low price, you fill in a lot of information for 15 minutes and then in very last moment before confirming, suddenly some substantial extra-charge comes up. The price mentioned first is no indication for the final price - that was my experience with Agoda a few years back, before i stopped using them. They were useful for remoter places, like having a choice of hotels in Suphanburi where it was difficult to get to the hotel directly and confirm clear dates and conditions in a common language.

Is Booking.com better? I mean - do they post a price and once you filled in all your information and want to actually book - is it still the same total?

Flight price comparison sites are the same as Agoda: They post a price but when you click the link to the dealer, the price is higher (whoever is responsible for that).
