mail disappearing

Featured Replies

the last month or so I have had about half the mail I sent out of Thailand disappear at the airport. its all registered but the record stops at the airport. Im told by the PO that customs at the country I sent it too must have taken it but theres no record of it reaching the country it was sent to. Im wondering if I have been unlucky or if other people are experiencing this?

What you been sending ?

try track 17

if its to Australia they no longer scan the registered mail on arrival nor do they update the tracking. In fact it now takes a weeks after it arrives there before it is delivered, all to do with the new managers cut backs, screw the customer and they wonder why it is the first year they have lost millions and made no profit.

Its standard practice that the mail tracking will caese on departure at the airport. Dependent on where it is going and the services offerred by that country, it will not re-appear on the tracking until it has cleared Customs and officially re-entered the postal system again.

Some countries, US as an example, if you switch to their mail service website and check it will state "mail is being prepared for shipment" prior to entering their tracking system.
