Jomtien Soi 5 Immigration Wednesday 7.October 2015. First Application of Farang Condo owner for Extension of Temporary stay TM7

10.30 AM. Withdrawl of small amount of money from Kasikorn Bank account to update bank account to current balance.

10.40 AM Letter from Kasikorn Bank on Jomtien Beach Road/Soi 2 re sufficient funds (800K THB minimum for 2 month.) Kasikorn fee200 THB.

11.00AM Arrived at Immigration Soi 5 Jomtien. Girl next to the entrance looked at my documents folder and then told me to go the information desk to get a number for counter 8 on the left. There were only 3 people in front of me.

11.20AM. There were a police Immigration Officer and two girls in plain clothes at desk 8. One of the pleasant girls looked at my documents.

1 One filled in TM7 form (2 pages downloaded from the Internet stapled together with my passport picture attached. No further copies of TM7 or passport pictures required. Mobile phone number added on bottom of TM7 form.

2 Copy of passport picture page (one only). Signed by me and mobile phone number added.

3 Copy of Departure card from passport TM6 (one only) signed with phone number.

4 Copy of Non Immigrant O Visa from passport (one only) signed with phone number.

5 Copy of page in passport showing date admitted and last date allowed in Thailand. Mobile phone number added.

6 Copy of Chanote (title deed) of my condo back and front signed by me and mobile phone number added.

7 Copies of pages of my Tabien Baan (blue house book) where only my Thai partner is listed. The Farang owner is not listed in the blue house book, bur the address corresponds with the Chanote (title deed) where the Farang is the owner. Signed by me and my mobile number.

8 Copy of my Thai partner’s I.D card. She is the only person listed in my Tabien Baan( blue house book).

9 I was then given a form stating that I would comply with Thai Visa requirements. I had to add my name,my age, my passport number and sign it.

11.45AM I was given a red laminated card with a number on it and told to bring it tomorrow morning at 10 AM to pick up my passport with the new Extension of Stay. After getting the extension in my passport tomorrow I can then apply for a re-entry permit. THB 1000 single or THB 3600 multiple.

There is no TM 30 Form required for Condo owners at Chonburi Immigration in Soi 5 Jomtien at present.

So you got an extension based on owning a condo? Is this something new?

The 800K deposit would indicate that he was doing a retirement extension.

Owning a condo is neither here nor there.

Jingthing asked how the TM 30 requirements were affecting condo owners when applying for an extension of stay. whistling.gif

is an extension based on retirement, and not for owning a condo to the value of 10million.

A requirement for the extension based on retirement and other extensions is proof of address, this is what the OP is talking

about.

Hi. As it's at Jomtiem/Pattaya,

an Electricity/Internet bill would advantageously substitute to docs 6, 7 & 8 smile.png

Indeed. I do my retirement extension at Jomtien every August and have never even told them that I own my condo. All they get is an electricity bill and that's all they have ever wanted.

Thanks to the OP for the report.

I am assuming you just presented those ownership documents regarding the condo WITHOUT being asked for them.

I have never submitted such documents.

Yes, in the past a phone bill with your name has been adequate.

Your report doesn't reveal whether it is still adequate.

However, and thank you very much, your report does seem to strongly indicate that no TM30 is needed for condo owners!

Not for the first extension application. They will want more proof of residence than that.

You mean you printed the TM.7 form on two sheets of paper and stapled them together, vs printing the form on both sides of a single sheet, and it was accepted? If so, that's a change.
