if they really wanted to lure tourists back then why to hell do they make it increasingly difficult for visa,s and such not to mention double pricing etc etc

They just announced a new 6 month tourist Visa, your talking about expat visa

I just read the other day that tourist arrivals are projected to be down by 1 million visitors this high season.

Why? I'm sure the total number of tourists is up. It is just that the average stay is getting shorter and the average amount spent less.
