- yes, if the card is part of one of the international networks, such as Cirrus, Plus etc. Examine the card; if you don't see one of those logo's go to your bank and tell them you want an international card.

- be aware - In the Phil., ATM's are nowhere near as ubiquitous as they are in Thailand. Breakdowns are frequent, and there are long queues in front of whichever machines are working on that day. Use only machines on the front of banks. That way, you have some chance of getting your card back if the machine swallows it. If the machine won't dispense money on your first or second attempt, find another one. Making multiple attempts causes the machine to think you have stolen the card, and are unsure how to use it. For that reason, it may swallow the card.

- Do not let your cash run down to 0 before refilling.

- When I was there 6 mo. ago, the standard charge on international cards was P 200/withdrawal. I have seen recent reports that that charge has gone up in Thailand recently, so possibly it has increased in The Phil. too.
