October 11, 201510 yr I remember reading some time ago that the Suvarnabhumi Airport Rail Link had been closed for repair. Could anyone confirm whether this is now up and running again please? http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/topic/751548-suvarnabhumi-airport-rail-link-repair-pushed-back-until-late-next-year/ Edited October 11, 201510 yr by Asiantravel
October 11, 201510 yr Author Can't speak for today, but I used it a week ago. thanks for your cautionary response but at least we can ascertain the repairs are over
October 11, 201510 yr It's running the City service only with a mix of City and Express trains. "I don't want to know why you can't. I want to know how you can!"

Is it reasonably frequent to the city? The City Line runs every 10-15 minutes and takes about 20-30 minutes to get to Makkassan (Petchaburi MRT Intersection) or Phaya Thai (BTS intersection) I gave up on the Express Line years ago because it runs sporadically, if at all. It was certainly nice, more comfortable and faster when it did run reliably- but it was often over an hour wait to get the next train- negating the "Express" feature...
October 12, 201510 yr The system was never closed down. The 'express' service has been suspended for a while now, but the Cityline service has continued to be in operation.
