Festival Road Fatalities Drop

Forty-five people died and 221 were injured in traffic accidents during the Pchum Ben holiday from October 10 to 13, according to a report from the General Commissariat of National Police yesterday.

During Pchum Ben, which is the country’s biggest festival, the fatalities in traffic accidents decreased 8 percent compared to the same period in 2014, where 49 people died.

One hundred and nine traffic accidents were recorded across the country during this period, representing a decrease of 20 percent over the same period last year, the report said.
