entering Thailand on non-immigrant B: one-way flight OK with QATAR air?

Featured Replies

Hello,

I will have a non-immigrant B visa for entering Thailand next month and will be flying Qatar air. The Thai consulate says a one-way ticket is OK. I'm not sure if Qatar air will ask for a return ticket itinerary. I understand that with a tourist visa airlines can require a return flight, and that it depends on the airline (some may ask; some may not ask).

Does anyone have experience entering Thailand with a non-immigration B visa while flying with QATAR air regarding a one-way ticket and being asked about a return ticket? Or, has anyone ever been asked about a return ticket when flying Qatar air with any kind of visa?

Thanks.

JJ

If you have a valid visa you should have no hassles departing for Thailand with Qatar airways or any airline for that matter.

I was stopped by Qatar at Heathrow earlier in the year on a one way ticket but didn't have any visa,I quickly booked a cheap ticket out of Bangkok to Kuala Lumpur and was allowed to board, needless to say I never used the flight to KL.

Thanks for your response. That was quick. Thanks again.

If you have a valid visa a return or onward ticket is not required. If somebody at the airport say otherwise take it up to higher level to get it taken care of.

Enter the required info here and you will see what the IATA database shows. http://www.staralliance.com/en/services/visa-and-health/
