PATTAYA: -- There was a lucky escape for a 38 year old 18-wheel truck driver on Monday Night after his truck and trailer crashed through barriers onto the Central Pattaya Underpass construction site, only meters away from a deep hole.

Khun Suwit aged 38 was questioned by Police at the scene and later arrested and taken to Pattaya Police Station for further questioning. The crash caused tailbacks of up to 3kms in length.

The truck driver claimed a motorbike pulled out in front of him causing him to take evasive action to avoid a collision with the smaller vehicle.

In the real world he would have squashed the motorbike like a bug

Defensive driving does not mean using a barrier to avoid a collision

Many more to come i fear.

Guess the trucks breaks were good then. Lucky motorcycle.
