Non-O visa for dependent in Penang

I need to apply for non-o visas for my wife and kid in Penang. I am currently on a non-B visa with a work permit and my wife and kid will be dependent of mine.

Are there any special requirements for them to apply for this visa such as proof of funds or company documents? Or is my work permit and visa sufficient?

I assume you are on an extension of stay based upon working you obtained from an immigration not a non-b visa from an embassy or consulate.

They will need your marriage certificate and birth certificates plus copies and copies of your passport photo page and extension of stay stamp to apply for the visas.

When they apply for the dependent extension at immigration it will require the same documents plus possibley a letter stating you are still for working for the company. Some offices may ask for than that though.

Thanks. Does the same apply for Vientiane? Also, do I have to be present?

Same for Vientiane.

You do not need to be present when they apply for the visas.
