Suspects flee into forest, leave behind 10kg of heroin

BANGKOK: Officials yesterday announced the seizure of 10 kilograms of heroin and five motorcycles belonging to drug suspects. The items were confiscated from suspects who fled into forest in Chiang Rai's Mae Fah Luang district on Friday night.

Each kilogram of heroin is worth about Bt1 million.

"We received a tip-off that heroin would be smuggled into the district. So rangers were patrolling the area when they noticed seven men on five suspicious vehicles," Col Chalongchai Chaiyakham, acting chief of the Pha Muang force, said yesterday. The heroin was stuffed in fertiliser bags. The illicit drugs might have belonged to Colonel Jalorbo's drug network, which is based in southern Myanmar, he said.

Hey, that's mine! Where can I pick it up? laugh.png

Or was it 20 kG? there's a lot more that goes on in those operations than what meet the eye that can't be told in these pages.....

Sounds like a staged event. The syndicate gives the cops a 10 kg drug haul and the main shipment of 100 kg goes down to Bangkok and is freighted overseas.

Out of one drug network into another.

So 100 kg found only 10 kg claimed sounds about right. Oh yeah and smugglers leave motorbikes behind but can't be traced back to owners right?

One of the reasons drugs would never be legalized (and thus removing all the crime) is the number of very rich and powerful people who would lose a lot of money.

Maybe.....just a thought......the bikes are stolen???

Ha, ha ....Colonel Jalorbo....... now that is a colorful name for a drug king pin...lol

Colonel Jalorbo and his side kick Lieutenant Ba-Ba-Ba-Bo....the 2 crazy Burmese drug dealers.

Cheers

Probably can ...but more than likely the motorcycles were stolen at gun point anyhow.

You know how them criminal types are...known to seldom do anything legal.

Cheers

Yes bikes could have been stolen but thai's do have fingerprints and DNA or is it possible that don't happen here?

Out of 1000 kg smuggled, I wonder how many times the cartels 'tip' the authorities of a drug movement of a few kg in order to pull them away from the locations where the real large hauls are coming through. Obviously mules are expendable.
