No, a lot of the schools aren't shut- notably the True Blue International schools, and any schools that attempt to follow similar international schedules (i.e. same school schedule as the U.S. or the U.K. or Australia, etc.).

Most of the private bilingual programs are under the curricular auspices of the Thai government, and they follow the same schedule as the Thai public schools, thus I'd expect most of them to be closed right now.

Many thanks.

This means that the family may have taken my child up to the North to see the uncles and aunts. I should have let them know I was visiting earlier but I did not realise that the schools would be closed during October.

It is likely that the school is shut and if the family are in the North it is difficult to contact them.

Looks like a wasted journey to Bangkok ?
