Disposal of furniture / machines - who to call?

I am refurbishing my home and have loads of - mostly unusable - stuff in my place that i want to get rid of. Furnitures, emtpy boxes, old fridge, wasching machine and lot of other stuff. Everything that IS reusable has already been taken care of (given away) by my girlfriend, so it is really about disposal of "waste". .

No, I can not just put it out on the street, as that would attract to many people, we already have to many people going through the waste bins on a daily basis.

So looking for a company who would arrive with a truck and take out all that I want to get rid of. Anybody has an idea about such companies? Is there a number of the government waste management unit that can be called (can not give a fridge to the weekly pick-up..) or any private company who I could call?

Let your g.f. talk with the trash-truck people or call City Hall. We pay them for special pick-up of all kinds of items, incl. garden/tree cutting. Not expensive neither. Hope this still works. Regards. MS>
