November 22, 201510 yr What about the let's say 100.000 other foreign Jihadi's who transited through Turkey and entered clandestinely in Syria ? Good police job too ?
November 22, 201510 yr ISIS only have about 30,000 fighter's in Syria and other regions in the vicinity so I think 100,000 is far fetched. But they make a lot of noise (propaganda) and have a vast income (oil mostly). People have the impression there are considerably more of them. There are millions of Muslim people, only a small fraction of a percent are radical.

Very funny that they can't arrest the Thai lady and her partner invilved in Erewan or stop reinforcements for ISIS crossing to Syria. They cant stop the stolen oil market either that is helping finance ISIS

And the simple minded sheep who are demonizing the entire Muslim population of the world are playing right into the hands of ISIS and all their buddies.
November 23, 201510 yr What about the let's say 100.000 other foreign Jihadi's who transited through Turkey and entered clandestinely in Syria ? Good police job too ? What orifice do you extract your statistics from? Syrian Army of Assad is estimated at 250.000 soldiers on the frontlines in Syria. Kurdish Peshmergas are estimated at 200.000 soldiers on the frontlines in Iraq and Syria. Hezbollah, Iranian and Russian troops in Syria are a minority. So if the Jihadi's are estimated at only 30.000, how is it possible that they can resist during 5 years to an opponent who's 10x larger and supported by aircraft...?

There are millions of Muslim people, only a small fraction of a percent are radical. Only a small fraction of Muslims are radical indeed. But it still represents quite a number of problematic people. If only 1% of the world Muslims is radical, it still is over 20,000,000 people. Even 0,1% still is a problematic number... Nothing much we can do about it though...
November 23, 201510 yr Thorgal: There is only one Kurdish group that has consistently and effectively battled ISIS in Syria, and that is the Y.P.G. They have 35,000 soldiers. Also the half dozen other kurdish groups do not seem to have a singular aim and so I would suggest they are less effective. To win a guerilla style war you need 10 X the number that the Guerrillas have. So if ISIS have 35000 you need, by conventional wisdom, 350,000 regular soldiers to overcome them.
