At the moment, my employment contract is finished so my Non-B and WP that will expire this coming Thursday (Nov. 26th) and I was told by an HR i know that I can just go to local immigration to get an extension. Has anyone had an experience on this one? Pls. kindly let me know and if it's not, what could be my options to stay longer?

I live in Chonburi right now with my dad and my Non-B and WP were done in Bangkok.

Pls. help. Thank you very much in advance!

I think the only extension you will get from immigration is one for 7 days during which you will have to leave the country.

A single entry tourist visa cant be obtained from a Thai Embassy/Consulate in one of the nearby countries.

Thank you. One more thing tho, am I able to use my Chonburi address to apply for this extension in Chaengwattana? because I don't live in bangkok as i dont work there anymore. Do I need to submit the TM30 form? if so, i don't have it but I can only show them the house registration? will it be fine? Thanks again.

You would need to have an a address for Bangkok to apply at Chaeng Wattana. In order to apply for the 7 day extension anywhere you would a termination letter dated for the date you apply for it or after that date.

It would probably be best to make a border run for a visa exempt entry. You would get 15 days unless from a G7 country that would allow a 30 day entry. You could then apply for a 30 day extension.

I was in a similar situation. Did a visa run to penang and got a 2 month tourist visa. Of course you could just get 30 days if thats all you wanted.

I am pretty sure you have to leave thailand to get the tourist visa. Also Chaeng wattana wont let you do anything unless you have a bangkok address. I used to live right on the border or samut prakan and bkk and they told me to go to samut prakan but luckily i was able to show i lived in a bit of a grey area
