Zat no so, you can find any size turkey you like in any one of the big supermarkets

Drive down the beach at Khao Takiab past Hua Hin theres 2-3 Turkeys and a sheep walking on the beach.............even i was surprised

Get 2 big chickens from Makro and have money left over for half a dozen bottles of wine (better still, only buy 4 and bring a couple over with you from duty free).

I went to Makro, yes they have them but WOW! talk about sticking it to 'em....5.5kg Turkey 2500 baht !!

Not just a rumor.

There was a problem with turkey exports from the USA due to bird flu.

But there are misc explanations why this is not a current problem. e.g.:

* problem solved, exports started again

* not all turkeys come from USA

* turkeys are in the freezer "for a while"

If Toykeys weren't available how do you think them pesky 'Merkins were able to celebrate Thanksgiving? They are available... Maybe not in the amount of previous years and certainly not at the price of even last year. Hunt, seek, ye shall find!
