Hello. I have family coming over from the UK and I need to rent a 7 seater for the Chiang Mai leg of the holiday. I have looked at Hertz, Avis, Budget etc and the largest they offer is a Fortuna, which might be a squeeze in the back as there are 6 of us total. Does anyone know where in Chiang Mai I can rent a nice Alphard or simmilar? A big luxury 7 seater? I need it for 5 days total.

I think you need to be considering rental with a driver for the crowd your going to have.

Most rental places of vehicles like the toyota vans you see running around include driver. They want to know the experience of the driver before letting them behind the wheel, of a million baht piece of equipment.

Fair point slapout. I have lived here 12 years though, drove around 600,00 KM's with the 5 cars I have brought here, drove from CM to Pai many times in rented Fortunas and have a full Thai DL so that should help. Or will it? Probably not thinking about it!
