webfact
Petition to ban Trump from UK passes 300K, could be debated in ParliamentLondon (CNN)A petition calling for Donald Trump to be banned from entering the UK has attracted more than a quarter of a million signatures -- more than enough for a committee to consider sending the motion for parliamentary debate. The petition to block the front-running Republican presidential candidate from entering the country was created on the British government's official petitions website in response to Trump's call Monday to ban Muslims from entering the U.S. due to the threat of terrorism."The UK has banned entry to many individuals for hate speech. The same principles should apply to everyone who wishes to enter the UK," read the petition, which was created by Suzanne Kelly, a woman from Aberdeen, Scotland, who has previously campaigned against Trump's political and business activities.Full story: http://edition.cnn.com/2015/12/09/politics/uk-donald-trump-ban-petition/-- CNN 2015-12-

BKKBrit
I signed it yesterday at about 4pm Thailand time. I was number 62,522. Phenomenal interest in this and if any of you have watched the man and his family's antics in Scotland with his golf course and couldn't be similarly outraged about what he did there, then you too should be signing it to bar this cretin from entering the UK. If nothing else, it's embarrassing for him - which is a good thing. The petition signatories now stands at 374,000. And there's a neat map showing where the signatures are coming from :- http://petitionmap.unboxedconsulting.com/?petition=114003

If the United Kingdom is to continue applying the 'unacceptable behaviour' criteria to those who wish to enter its borders, it must be fairly applied to the rich as well as poor, and the weak as well as powerful."Besides his recent outburst against certain religions - his sexist and atrocious attitude towards women would enough to deny him a visa. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/18-real-things-donald-trump-has-said-about-women_55d356a8e4b07addcb442023 We apply the same rules to Muslims, Jews, Mexicans, Irish, French, Catholics, Jains, Hindus .. luke000
then you too should be signing it to bar this cretin from entering the UK. The petition hotspots, where the voters live, are predominately Muslim areas . Tower Hamlets etc There are no "predominately Muslim" areas in the UK. The area you cited "Tower Hamlets" does have the highest percentages of Muslims per capita in the UK.. around 35% but clearly this is does make is a "predominately Muslim area" Population of Tower Hamlets is around 280,000, so Peak Muslim signers from Tower Hamlets could only ever be somewhat less than 90,000.. Further, I wouldn't be surprised at all if ALL UK Muslims were to take umbrage with Donald Trump's outburst.. What would you expect?

But it represents a concern from UK people.Would be unthinkable in the US for a foreign political figure. The diplomatic impact is silent to the media but more important than this petition. Nothing in his PR campaign is a coincidence. He's just running a script. His timing to make a visit to Israel is not a coincidence at all. He did his homework pretty well.
