Ice Skating

Featured Replies

So, where in Thailand are ice skating facilities?

I know only the one in the shopping mall in Udon Thani.

What about Phuket, BKK, Hua Hin, Surat Thani?

used to have one at Seacon Square Bangkok but it went about a year ago, 2nd floor outside smile dental centre..............no use now I know

The Esplanade Ngamwongwan rd. has a big icetrack.

Sometimes also in Central Chaengwattana in the basement a small one for kiddies. Also in Central World plaza sometimes.

One in Central Festival in Chiang Mai. It doesn't appear to my untrained eye that the ice is kept up very good.

Skating rext to Major Cinema complex in Ekkamai, also a very large rink on the 6th floor of the shopping mall opposite Fortune Tower (Grand-9?) Mega Bang Na also has a full sized rink.

re

hes right :)

i was there last week !

there is one upstairs in Major Ekkamai.

There's one in Fashion Island as well - not shown on the Google Map link above.

The rinks in Thailand are so tiny you will get dizzy going in circles. They also aren't cold enough and the ice is slushy. Fall down and you are sure to get your clothes wet. Not the same experience as back home. Still fun for the kids, though.

Not sure about outside of Bangkok but the rinks at Imperial World Bang Na and Central Rama 9 are full size. (They regularly have hockey games at Rama 9.) The ice is not resurfaced as much as it should be but it certainly isn't slushy at either of those places.

Agree...I've skated at the full sized rinks at both Rama-9 and Mega Bang Na and the ice was fine.
