FRANKFURT: -- German police have arrested five people suspected of beating a 41-year-old woman to death as part of an exorcist ritual.

They are accused of inflicting two hours of pain and agony on the victim inside a Frankfurt hotel room “to cast out the devils.”

A written statement released on Wednesday (December 9) by Frankfurt’s chief prosecutor said that a 44-year-old woman, her 21-year-old son, her 19-year-old daughter and two 15-year-old boys, all of Korean nationality, were arrested on suspicion of murder.

The victim’s body was found last Saturday (December 5), showing signs of violence, with numerous bruises and haemorrhages, the statement said.

According to initial investigations, the woman’s mouth was stuffed with hand towels before massive violence was applied on her chest and stomach in order to “cast out the devils.”

The victim underwent “at least two hours of pain and agony and finally died by suffocation due to massive thorax compression.”

Neither the prosecutor or a representative from the South Korean consulate in Frankfurt were immediately available for comments on camera.

Aaaaah - bashing food for civilized people in a western, educated society... Ridicule and ignore anything that doen't fit into our limited school book mentality... Fact or fiction? You be the judge...

The case of Annaliese Michel (also in Gemany), from which "The Exorcist" and "The Exorcism of Emily Rose" (and many other popular works of fiction) derive their inspiration:
