Cherry blossom is turning the valley pink at Angkhang Royal Project in Chiang Mai just in time for the holiday season. The trees have bloomed around the 80 Anniversary Park and English Rose Garden where some other cold-climate flowers add even more colour to the agriculture station. Part of HM the King's agricultural research and development centres, Angkhang is a famous winter destination where visitors are blessed with colourful flowers and chilly weather.

They've got the moves

The National Theatre, Bangkok, plays host to Thai and Cambodian traditional dance this Saturday. Starting at 4pm, Thai and Cambodian dance companies will show off moves both old and new, among them Cambodia's "Robam Phet" and Thailand's khon performance "Hanuman Catching Benyakai". Reaching new heights

New indoor climbing wall Clip'n Climb recently opened on the fifth floor of The Street Ratchada lifestyle mall on Ratchadaphisek Road and enthusiasts as well as beginners are now invited to try and overcome its 24 challenges. Visitors to the mall can also have fun in the "Bounce" trampoline arena, which recently opened to the public.

Traffic Fines Reduced to 100 Baht as 'New Year Gift'

Council approves creation of corruption court

Airforce to transport crash victims home

BANGKOK: -- The Royal Thai Airforce has arranged a C130 aircraft to transport the bodies of 13 Malaysian tourists who died after their coach crashed in Chiang Mai’s Doi Saket district on Sunday back to their country, a source reported yesterday.

After the autopsies of the victims were completed at Maharaj Nakorn Chiang Mai Hospital and relatives notified, 12 families from Malaysia yesterday went the province to view the bodies. Thai authorities will also fly the relatives back to Malaysia later, the source said.

AIS to mount subsidised handset promotion, while DTAC vows to fight for market position

Bt6 bn set for financial infrastructure, digital economy

General Udomdej dismisses claim of Rajabhakti statute's foundation subsidence as nonsensical

BANGKOK: -- Deputy Defence Minister Udomdej Seetabutr has dismissed the latest claim by red-shirt core leader Natthawsut Saikua that the foundation of the statute at Rajabhakti Park had subsided causing cracks as a nonsense saying that the cracks might have been caused by cement contraction.
