Switzerland grants its final special 'stripper visas'

Switzerland Wraps Up Stripper Visa Program
RACHEL STOLTZFOOS

GENEVA: -- Switzerland wrapped up a special visa program for strippers Tuesday, issuing the last of its work permits to foreign strippers looking for work in the country before the program expires in the new year.

Authorities started issuing the special “L permits” to foreign strippers in 1995 with the aim of protecting them from sex traffickers by giving them legal work in wealthy Switzerland, reported Agence France-Presse. More than 10,000 women from outside the European Union have received the permit since 2005, allowing them to move to Switzerland and find legal work as strippers or cabaret dancers.

The immigration office announced Tuesday authorities have issued the last of the 700 permits handed out in 2015. Dancers from Russia, the Dominican Republic and Thailand were the top recipients of the visas, which proponents argued gave them a safer way to send money home to their families.

There goes my retirement work plan ...

There goes my retirement work plan ...

As I am only 59 years old, and, I look younger, I hasten to add also being a slim 108 kilo........I am sure my work permit is secure.

I hasten to add, my heart bleeds for you (but there is an extra charge for special services).

when you go to the interview be prepared to demonstrate your skills, there's a 7 foot pole set up.

How about visas to street walkers too ? Would it not be better too sample the merchandiser instead of just looking at it ?

Switzerland has 10,000 strippers?

Clearly it's not as dull a place as I always thought.

Everyone here is laughing but Canada had this visa as well up until a couple of years ago. A

no question asked, 100% acceptance. If you applied for a work visa as a stripper you got it.

It was some women's led UN initiative. (I think just for women, not really sure) Thousands and

thousands came from Russia, Ukraine, etc....etc.... I was supposed to be to help stop human

trafficking. It went on for a few years until word got out and it was front page headlines. All the

strip clubs, brothels, and escort agencies were jammed with Russians and former east block

country women. I am sure it was the Quebec strippers (they are exceptionally beautiful and

skilled pole dancers, the best in the world, no bull s--t) that put there feet down to end the visa.

Anyway I don't remember any Thai dancers, as pretty as some are there is just no way they

could make a living on the pole. Escorts/brothels yes, Pole dancing, not a chance.

It was fun while it lasted though. thumbsup.gif

I remember when I was 16 and my family was in Quebec and my dad took me to a bar that had strippers. They were dancing to the song American Women by the Guess Who. I wanted to take pictures to show my friends but it was a no no.

My mom wasn't to happy with my dad.

Will never forget it.

Nope,

It has issued 10,000 visas in 10 years.

Suppose even after 20 years, Swiss men still
prefer the more traditional stripper clubs wink.png

Better choice than letting in half a million veiled muslims
