IZMIR: -- Police in Turkey have seized over a thousand fake life jackets destined for migrants crossing the Aegean Sea into Greece.

Authorities raided an address in the port of Izmir and found the jackets stuffed with padding rather than buoyancy material.

On Tuesday the bodies of 34 migrants washed up on Turkish shores, many wearing life jackets.

Why don't they recycle all of the life jackets left on the Greek island......

Why don't they just put police on the shores where the boats are leaving from. Stop them from getting on the boats in the first place.

What they are not telling you is that the only found a 2 day supply.

There is not enough time to recycle from the Greek Islands.

The "bastards" are probably sick of not being able to find a job, seeing their taxes going to people from another country, sick of seeing their daughters raped and abused, tired of immigrants getting medical care when they cannot because of government cutbacks, seeing their property values wiped out etc, etc, etc.

More on the topic:

Turkish police seized over 1,200 unsafe life jackets destined for use by migrants trying to reach Greece by sea, in a raid on an underground workshop in the center of İzmir that used Syrian underage labor on Jan. 6.
