Before I go out and race around the island looking for a supplier, can anybody tell me a store that sells Android TV boxes (Kodi Box) in Samui please. Thanks in advance.

I know it's not Samui, but this guy will post one to you. http://www.jsat.tv

They are in BKK, and have an online shop. I posted my one back to them for an upgrade and they returned it by post.

I bought a box from this guy... http://www.jsat.tv

Got help setting it up but when it quit working 3 months later I asked for help.

He told me to EMS the box to him in bkk and he would send me a new one. Guess what..it never came and all of my attempts to contact him when unanswered.

I forgot how much it was....10 or 15 thou.. Lost. Beware!!!

Wow, ripped off. I do not expect to pay any more than 4000 for an android tv box.

Thanks for the info though.

I have just ordered this one from lazada for the bedroom TV. I already have a Minix box that I bought about 2 years ago and is still going strong.

This new box looks pretty good though and together with the air mouse is a bargain.

Loads of tutorials about setting up any android TV box on youtube, no particular skill required.

If buying an android box I recommend also buying an air mouse or wireless mouse at the same time. The supplied remote control will drive any sane man crazy within the hour.

I have two android tv ( wifi) boxes from lazada, both came pre loaded with free to use stuff. I even use one of them to extend the range of wifi within the home. They suit my needs perfectly and provide hours of entertainment at minimal cost. The future of television? I think so.

This one as many things preloaded. Then watch youtube on Kodi set up, takes a few minutes, then you are away. No need to pay more than about 1600 baht.

AG.

The only problem being that this option takes about a month to be delivered and no cash on delivery.

Ok, just to let you all know, that I ordered my Minix box last Monday from Lazada.

I received my box on Thursday morning in Koh Samui, paid the post man, job done.

For all that have written the negative comments on this thread, maybe learn your address properly or start building some positive karma, then you may not have so many issues. :-)

Thanks to all the positive posters !

Yep. Usual good service from Lazada.

Items ordered within Thailand usually turn up within a week.

Heads up re Lazada

CoD previously meant delivery to the house, but the item at post 16 had to be re ordered because they EMS'ed it to the post office to be collected and paid for there. By the time I had cottoned on the PO had sent it back!

Advisable to take the EMS tracking details to the PO as the box only has a part number on it (presumably there were other items in the same consignment for multiple customers) rather than your name or address.

I finally picked mine up yesterday smile.png
